Mathieu Gielen specializes in design for children’s play, as designer, educator and researcher. He develops bottom-up approaches (co-design, co-research, contextmapping) to help designers explore and understand the perspectives of children. He develops top-down approaches to make theory from the social sciences domain accessible for designers. At the crossroads of these two, designers find inspiration and tools to positively impact children’s lives.
